minding your stomach...
PRAISE BE TO ALLAH, the merciful and bountiful producer of all things edible. in the midst of ramadan, the holiest of fasting seasons, i've never consumed so much. i can't even begin to name the chicken, beef, pork, lamb, goose, mystery meat and assorted vegetable dishes that i've ingested this past week. malay, chinese, indian, arabic, persian, fijian, thai (of course) and an inspired mix of the above. after a press conference, we hit up the hotel's sumptuous buffet, topped off with some ABC (a local dessert, consisting of shaved ice, ice cream and a concoction of colourful fruits, jellies, pastes, nuts and beans):
